Sand Finish, Internal Render and more The base component for render mix, Plastering Sand is mixed with other materials such as cement, lime and water to achieve the desired mix (please consult a plasterer for mix ratios).

In order to make plastering sand, all the particles are cleaned and washed in order to take out the salt, silt and clay content. Plastering sand is preferable to builders sand for rendering as there is less shrinkage and cracking once it has dried.
