Great mulch and decorative alternative. Often described as a “ball bearing” type of stone. Pea Gravel is often used for similar application as Cracked Gravel in garden beds, around homes and along fences as a decorative stone, however due to the product being round it has the potential to roll or shift easier than Cracked Gravel will. It is a good alternative to mulching. It can also be installed as a footpath or driveway, although due to the product having no dust/fines it remains loose on the surface. Sand Finish, Internal Render and more The base component for render mix, Plastering Sand is mixed with other materials such as cement, lime and water to achieve the desired mix (please consult a plasterer for mix ratios).
In order to make plastering sand, all the particles are cleaned and washed in order to take out the salt, silt and clay content. Plastering sand is preferable to builders sand for rendering as there is less shrinkage and cracking once it has dried.
